The general concept of the card game is to be handed cards adding up to 21. Each gambler is dealt two cards. When a blackjack player is given a nine or less and an Ace they’ve been handed a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been dealt all players at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each player is given the chance to make one of 6 actions:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a black jack player says "hit" the dealer will give them another card, if the addition of that card causes the total greater than 21 the blackjack player will have busted and that is the end of the game, if the card makes the value of the hand to twenty-one the black jack player will be the winner and if the total has not yet achieved 21 they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been dealt: If a blackjack player is happy with the cards they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will disclose his or her hand and the player who has accumulated 21 or the nearest to twenty one will win.

Doubling Down: A blackjack player might ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have placed. Once you have taken this action you can only be given one additional card. The details of doubling down are usually out lined by the blackjack table or betting house rules so prior to betting be sure you are at ease with the casino established rules. If you’re playing at a net casino this is normally quite easy.
